Stripe setup required / Pay Now button missing on an invoice

Short answer

A Stripe account is connected but Stripe has not finished verifying it, so Stripe will not accept card charges yet. Stripe onboarding is incomplete — usually the terms of service have not been accepted or no bank account has been added for payouts. WinkScope reads the connected Stripe account's state first, so the online-payment part of the invoice is switched off until Stripe reports the account as ready.

What it means

A Stripe account is connected but Stripe has not finished verifying it, so Stripe will not accept card charges yet.

Why it happens

Stripe onboarding is incomplete — usually the terms of service have not been accepted or no bank account has been added for payouts. WinkScope reads the connected Stripe account's state first, so the online-payment part of the invoice is switched off until Stripe reports the account as ready.

How to fix it

  1. Open Settings → Payments.
  2. Click Manage account and finish the Stripe steps: accept Stripe's terms and add the bank account that should receive payouts.
  3. Return to WinkScope and refresh the payment status.
  4. If the company does not want to take card payments at all, click Remove Stripe — invoices are still created, sent with the PDF and the online link, they simply have no Pay Now button.
