Client portal

Short answer

Each client gets one portal covering all of their projects, where they view estimates, invoices, messages, timeline, photos and documents, accept or decline estimates, pay open invoices, and upload their own photos. The contractor controls which sections are visible and, photo by photo, which images the client can see.

Where: Activate from the client or the project

Plans: All paid plans

Give a client portal access

  1. Open the client from Clients, or open their project from Projects.
  2. Activate the client portal there.
  3. Choose which sections the client can see.
  4. Send them the portal link — one portal covers all of that client's projects.

Clients accept or decline estimates from inside the portal, and request a new estimate if theirs has expired.

Decide which photos the client can see

  1. Open the project and go to its Photos tab.
  2. Use the eye control on a photo to hide it from the client, or show it again.
  3. Photos the client uploads themselves appear in the same portal for both sides.

The eye control decides what the client sees; it does not move or delete the file.

Let the client add their own photos

  1. The client opens their portal and uses the photos section to upload — for example a before shot.
  2. You get a notification naming the client and saying the photo came through the client portal.
  3. The photo appears on the project's Photos tab and in the portal for both sides.

Uploads are limited to 20 MB each; anything larger is refused with a plain explanation and the rest of the upload is kept.
