Bookings settings: hours, booking mode, blocks, trades and questions
Short answer
Settings controls when customers can book, whether bookings confirm instantly or need approval, blocked times, the trades/services offered, the questions asked, the diagnostic fee and who is notified. Changes only apply after clicking Save.
Where: Bookings > Settings
Plans: Starter and above (trade questions and photos included on Starter)
Set my working hours and how far ahead customers can book
Bookings > Settings.
Under Availability set Working hours, Time zone, Arrival window, Bookings per window, Minimum notice (hours) and Book up to (days ahead).
Click Save at the top of the page.
Choose instant booking or manual approval
Bookings > Settings > Booking mode.
Pick instant, manual approval, or a mix where only chosen days/times are instant.
Click Save.
Instant bookings go straight onto the Schedule as Confirmed. Manual ones arrive as Needs approval until you click Confirm.
Block holidays, out-of-office days or single time slots
Bookings > Settings > Not available on the booking page.
Add the dates, weekly times or single slots to block, then click Save.
Blocks only hide times from customers. You can still schedule anything yourself on the Schedule.
See which of my times customers cannot book
Bookings > Settings > Availability, switch on Show my booked times.
It lists everything already on your schedule for the coming days; those times show as not available on your booking page.
Times already booked, and busy times on a connected Google Calendar, are never offered to customers. The switch only shows you the list.
Add trades and the questions customers answer
Bookings > Settings > Trades and questions.
Add a trade from the list (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, remodeling and more) or choose Other and type your own, then fill Describe this trade and Services.
Under Questions edit, add or delete questions, or use the suggested questions and Reset to suggestions to start over.
Click Save.
Choose who is notified about new bookings
Bookings > Settings > Who gets notified, choose the people, then Save.
New requests send an email and an in-app notification.
Rules and limits
Nothing changes until Save is clicked; leaving with unsaved changes shows a warning.
Customers' form answers are saved as they type, so switching tabs or coming back later does not lose them.
